These are the standing orders that LtCOL (Ret) Mark Singleton gave his Marines over a lifetime career which entailed epic events that saw the world transition from the Cold War to the present. From the Beirut Barracks bombings, where Mark led the Quick Reaction Force as a young officer, to the modern asymmetric battlefields of the Third World, Mark has led, taught, and developed forces of law and righteousness using his lifetime of training and operating in Marine Corps and special operations forces. Mark enlisted in the Marine Corps as a teenager, and finished a few years after commanding one its elite Artillery Battalions. Throughout his career, Mark has been on every battlefield that he could get to that Americans were fighting on. Since then, Mark has been engrossed in imparting his training and experience in numerous efforts, all oriented on making America’s warriors stronger, smarter and tougher. Mark joins the Lima Charlie team with a desire to speak to the American people, offering them a fresh, honest perspective and is Lima Charlie’s subject matter expert on the tactics used in historical battles and the employment of special operations forces. Mark currently trains police and SWAT teams in sniper employment operations. He resides in his native South Carolina where he enjoys his family, and where he farms and teaches college.
